Polarweiss is Volkswagen paint code L90A. Volkswagen used L90A on the Golf, Polo, Passat, Scirocco from 1976 to 2007. L90A is a solid, high gloss finish. Polarweiss also appears as code SK9005 and R5. Polarweiss is sold as Polar White in other markets. Of the 34 Volkswagen white colours ordered from us, 8 have been ordered more often than Polarweiss.

Will L90A match my Volkswagen if the paint has faded?
The kit is mixed to the L90A formula — the same code printed on your vehicle’s paint label — not colour-matched by eye. On panels that still carry their factory paint, that reproduces the original tone.
Where it will not match
- Panels bleached by years of sun sit lighter than the factory formula. The kit reproduces the original colour, not the faded one.
- A panel that has already been resprayed is no longer the factory colour, so the code will not describe it.
- Metallic and pearl finishes are harder to blend across a large area than solid colours — they are at their best on chips and thin scratches.
- Damage larger than a few centimetres, or down to bare metal over a wide area, is body-shop work.
