Gris Taupe is Renault paint code KNU. Renault used KNU on the Trafic, Kangoo, Moka from 2011 to 2020. KNU is a solid, high gloss finish. Gris Taupe is sold as Galaxie-Grau and Mole Grey in other markets. Of the 46 Renault grey colours ordered from us, 18 have been ordered more often than Gris Taupe.

The kit is mixed to the KNU formula — the same code printed on your vehicle’s paint label — not colour-matched by eye. On panels that still carry their factory paint, that reproduces the original tone.
Where it will not match
- Panels bleached by years of sun sit lighter than the factory formula. The kit reproduces the original colour, not the faded one.
- A panel that has already been resprayed is no longer the factory colour, so the code will not describe it.
- Metallic and pearl finishes are harder to blend across a large area than solid colours — they are at their best on chips and thin scratches.
- Damage larger than a few centimetres, or down to bare metal over a wide area, is body-shop work.
