Is GT0 the same as M6373?

  • Manufacturer codeGT0Usually the one on your car’s label
  • Standard numberM6373

A single factory colour is often recorded under more than one code: the manufacturer’s own code, an industry standard number, and a supplier code. They all mix to the same paint. The code printed on your vehicle’s paint label is the one to match.

Which Nissan models came in New Black (GT0)?

Will GT0 match my Nissan if the paint has faded?

The kit is mixed to the GT0 formula — the same code printed on your vehicle’s paint label — not colour-matched by eye. On panels that still carry their factory paint, that reproduces the original tone.

Where it will not match

  • Panels bleached by years of sun sit lighter than the factory formula. The kit reproduces the original colour, not the faded one.
  • A panel that has already been resprayed is no longer the factory colour, so the code will not describe it.
  • Metallic and pearl finishes are harder to blend across a large area than solid colours — they are at their best on chips and thin scratches.
  • Damage larger than a few centimetres, or down to bare metal over a wide area, is body-shop work.

Works as advertised, but...

If your paint chip is really deep, like mine was (see photos) you will need to apply multiple coats to get the touch up paint to be above your car's paint. Then use provided utensils to polish off extra to level the chip…

Easy to use, great colour match.

Expensive but still worth it. This kit's colour match is great, easy to use if directions are followed. Will buy again.
