Is 19H the same as M6957D?

  • Manufacturer code19HUsually the one on your car’s label
  • Standard numberM6957D
  • Supplier codeKA9AXPD

A single factory colour is often recorded under more than one code: the manufacturer’s own code, an industry standard number, and a supplier code. They all mix to the same paint. The code printed on your vehicle’s paint label is the one to match.

Will 19H match my Mazda if the paint has faded?

The kit is mixed to the 19H formula — the same code printed on your vehicle’s paint label — not colour-matched by eye. On panels that still carry their factory paint, that reproduces the original tone.

Where it will not match

  • Panels bleached by years of sun sit lighter than the factory formula. The kit reproduces the original colour, not the faded one.
  • A panel that has already been resprayed is no longer the factory colour, so the code will not describe it.
  • Metallic and pearl finishes are harder to blend across a large area than solid colours — they are at their best on chips and thin scratches.
  • Damage larger than a few centimetres, or down to bare metal over a wide area, is body-shop work.

Accurate representation of a good product

For context I had about a 15cm long deep scratch that clearly showed the metal. In my experience, this product worked to my expectations based on the description of the product. Needless to say it does require a minimum…

No miracles, but an easy to use, great value touch up kit

Incredibly easy to apply. There is some finesse required (paint does glob after all) and deeper scratches might require some other solutions/tools, but as a self contained touch up kit, it works wonders.

How it works

Three steps.
Zero blobs.

01

Wipe the chip, degrease the panel. Thirty seconds of prep is all it takes.

02
