Light Slate is Jeep paint code XDB. Jeep used XDB on the Grand Cherokee, Liberty, Grand Cherokee Export, Cherokee Export from 2001 to 2011. XDB is a solid, matte finish. Light Slate is sold as Light Slate Matte in other markets. Of the 63 Jeep grey colours ordered from us, 28 have been ordered more often than Light Slate.

Which Jeep models came in Light Slate (XDB)?
Will XDB match my Jeep if the paint has faded?
The kit is mixed to the XDB formula — the same code printed on your vehicle’s paint label — not colour-matched by eye. On panels that still carry their factory paint, that reproduces the original tone.
Where it will not match
- Panels bleached by years of sun sit lighter than the factory formula. The kit reproduces the original colour, not the faded one.
- A panel that has already been resprayed is no longer the factory colour, so the code will not describe it.
- Metallic and pearl finishes are harder to blend across a large area than solid colours — they are at their best on chips and thin scratches.
- Damage larger than a few centimetres, or down to bare metal over a wide area, is body-shop work.

Just as advertised! Works well to seal little scratches in the finish of my 2011 Jeep.
