Volcano Black Metallic is Chrysler paint code 876. Chrysler used 876 on the Ypsilon in 2012. 876 is a metallic, high gloss finish. Of the 22 Chrysler black colours ordered from us, 13 have been ordered more often than Volcano Black Metallic.
Will 876 match my Chrysler if the paint has faded?
The kit is mixed to the 876 formula — the same code printed on your vehicle’s paint label — not colour-matched by eye. On panels that still carry their factory paint, that reproduces the original tone.
Where it will not match
Panels bleached by years of sun sit lighter than the factory formula. The kit reproduces the original colour, not the faded one.
A panel that has already been resprayed is no longer the factory colour, so the code will not describe it.
Metallic and pearl finishes are harder to blend across a large area than solid colours — they are at their best on chips and thin scratches.
Damage larger than a few centimetres, or down to bare metal over a wide area, is body-shop work.

Lots of touch-ups
Worth the money. This is not a basic touch up kit. With the choice of the larger items this should last the life of your paint job, even if you are taking trails every day.
